My current rig for filming projects in the workshop. Nikon Coolpix L820, microphone stand, 3D printed camera to microphone stand adapter (search thingiverse for vonslatt) usb power cable and 10ah usb power pack. I can film for days without recharging and the stand takes up far less floor space than a tripod.

Found a Black and Decker Workmate 200 at the dump. The plastic springs that hold the legs out were all broken but I thought “I’ll bet someone has uploaded a 3D print design for these.” I was right!

Nearly done! Just need to make a filter box for the motor air inlet and mount the motor controller. I took a few minutes out to sharpen every knife in the kitchen!

Heat Bluing Steel for my 2×72 Inch Belt Grinder Project
I’m in the process of building a 2″ x 72″ belt grinder powered by the permanent magnet motor from an old treadmill. The business end of the grinder is a pair of rollers and platen that supports the sanding belt. I milled these out of some 3/8″ steel plate
