so well designed... I wonder if the miles per gallon is better than a regular internal combustion engine... because all of the designs complexities can be streamlined with modern automation.. i.e relays and control systems.

Jake von Slatt — Wed, 07/30/2008 - 15:10Internal combustion will always beat steam for thermal efficiency - steam's big advantage is in it's inherent multi-fuel ability. You could build a car that would run on anything from moonshine to wood pellets.
