It really should be gear shaped, though

I think it is supposed to be a face and goggles

That would explain the lack of wrench aplication surfaces or cogs.

Just when I admired SPWS's apparent abstention from national politics, I see this. Perhaps, if one must indulge in such matters, we should have our own steampunk presidential candidate—Mr Von Slatt!

I do, however, think it would be cooler if gear shaped. Hahaha.

We do not actively avoid

Jake von Slatt — Wed, 10/22/2008 - 11:50

We do not actively avoid politics here, but only cover it when it intersects with what we do cover.  As for my personal politics; both candidate are too conservative for my taste, but I support Barack Obama anyway.

Damn me for looking over the devil's shoulder

Gimmal — Tue, 10/21/2008 - 18:20

Those two irons appear to pose a really unfortunate coincidence, though. I won't divulge the nature of the image, it is really too damned dastardly. Hey, instead, one could imagine what happens to protesters if having been arrested. That's as far as I'm going to go in trying to illustrate the image, it would've been too rotten if intentional.

Not to rain on the parade, but gee it is an unfortunate coincidence of imagery -- so much so, I have thought, I was unwilling to avoid responding about it. I know it is certainly unintentional, awkward though it may appear.

Hey, but for all of the hot air in politics there sure should be plenty of steam to go around, right? Heck, a candidate may even be able to drive his own train on it! D.C could power all of greater Virginia ... what a world.
